Contribution rules Contributions to The Lincoln Project are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Contributions from foreign nationals and federal government contractors are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and employer of each contributor whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. By clicking “Donate” below, you confirm that the following statements are true: (1) I am a United States Citizen or an individual lawfully admitted for permanent residence; (2) I am not a federal government contractor; and (3) this contribution is made from my own personal funds – no one has advanced me funds to make this contribution, and no one will reimburse me for it, and if it is being made by credit or debit card, it is my card which I have the legal obligation to repay.
